There is now a new entry on the podium for Best Fastfood Burger. Backyard Burger was delicious, fast, incredibly fresh tasting, and very affordable. The Blackjack Burger was an original flavor with a non-overwhelming amount of spice. The waffle fries were fresh and crispy. Goodtimes may have them beat with overall flavor and selection, and its hard to beat In-n-Out on freshness and milkshakes, but Backyard Burger comes in with AT LEAST the bronze medal. That's saying something!

It was fresh and didn't take forever to receive. We got the bacon cheese burgers with waffle fries, the #2. The drive thru attendant was very nice and professional. We will definitely go back.

I went to Backyard Burger in Lees Summit for a quick dinner. It was ok, but honestly I should have kept rolling up the street to Culvers. I ordered a back yard burger, waffle fries and a banana milkshake. The waffle fries were fine. The burger was ok. It didn't have that flavor that I'm used to. It tasted kind of plain. However, this shake was a liquid mess. It was so loose and watery. Then at the bottom it was chunky. I asked them to make me another one. They did and it wasn't any better. This is not the place to choose when you are in the mood for a burger and a shake.

I decided to try a Backyard turkey burger. It wasn't anything spectacular. The burger was tasty with the right cheese and other toppings. I would order it again. I don't feel stuffed or nasty as can happen after taking food from a drive-thru window. One added treat today was fresh fries with a container of their kickin' ketchup. Just enough spice in the ketchup to get your attention and keep you dipping.

I used to be a regular of the BYB in Liberty, but after moving away for a couple of years, and returning to find it missing, it was a pleasant surprise to discover the one in Lee's Summit. Without a doubt, the best drive-thru burger you can get your hands around. I nearly always get the 2/3lb burger with pepperjack, seasoned fries, and a Sobe. It may not be on the menu anymore, but the Lemon Chicken sandwich is also one of my favorites. It's still just a fast food joint, so you can't expect miracles or an appropriate amount of napkins in your to-go bag, but they do make a tasty burger.

Okay let me first start off by saying that 7 bucks for a value meal with a small fry and a flimsy burger packed with a salad and served with a coke is way too expensive. This is just another chain and it is way too expensive for the price and portions. Don't waste your money and spend the extra 2 bucks and go to chilis or Applebees for a lunch special hamburger.

I really like Back Yard Burgers. Very friendly employees and the food is consistently GREAT. I especially like the soups and chili and the Blacken Chicken sandwich. I've never had a bad meal here.

Went here tonight after the Missouri Maverick's hockey game. Since the Mavs scored 6 goals, everyone who went to the game got a free burger from Backyard Burgers if they showed their tickets within 24 hours of the game at the Backyard Burgers in Independence, Blue Springs, or Lee's Summit. We some some other Mav fans when were were there. It was on a Sunday night after 9 pm and the place was busy, yet the staff was friendly and helpful. We got our burgers and they had that flame broiled taste, the bun and condiments were fresh, and the burger hit the spot. I enjoyed that it was a tad bit bigger than my bun, had a distinct flame broiled/grilled taste, and was not dry. I would definitely go back here for burgers again. I ordered a lemonade and it was not too sweet - just right.

I went to this place with some new friends, and I was very surprised to find this type of establishment existed. Ya know Burger King, I love you and all... but this place is the bomb when it comes to burgers. As the name implies, every type of burger you get from here is as if you had it grilled in your very own back yard grill. The meat is absolutely amazing in taste and serving. Anyone could tell the different between those slabs of meat BK or Mc'D's puts inbetween them thin ass buns. But here, they don't hold back on not only the burger and all the trimmings, but the choice of fries in seasoned or waffled form. I've only had the seasoned fries, but god it's delicious. Just try to think if Burger King and Weber Grill had some amazing sex, and ended up with a bebe. This is what you'd get, and it's simply amazing.
